With the invitation of representatives from the Youth Employment Project, supported by the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development, CDBR (Career Development and Business Relations Office)in International Burch University offered the first seminar for students to get valuable insights about the employment opportunities in the country.
Mr.Mike Chambers and Ranko Markus presented the current labor market situation in regard to youth employment. As experienced project staff, they provided their own experiences along side statistics, which are helpful to the process of seeking employment. In addition, they emphasized that the workdayis a process, and requires a certain determination and a good plan.
After the speeches the student were having theopportunity to ask specific questions. The lecture ended with the handing letters of appreciation to the guest from our Deputy Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoman Duman.
The main goal of the CDBR office is to enhance collaboration with the rest of society and to keep an ongoing dialogue and exchange of knowledge between the University, the business world, the local communities, organizations and students. CDBR office plans to offer International Burch University Students more specialized seminars and workshops in CV development and presentation skills.
