As a part of implementing semestrual plan of Production Management course, under the lead of senior teaching assistant Ensar Mekić, students of third year at Management department of Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences paid a visit to Socks factory „Ključ“.
The main goal of this visit was to enable students experience basic Production Management concepts in practice. Students were able to observe a real production processes in real business world happening in real time.
The Director of Socks Factory „Ključ“, Mr. Hanefija Selek provided warm welcome to students and explained the entire production process of socks. He emphasized importance of both people and modern technology in production process. After visiting all departments of company and explaining their unique roles in the production processes, Mr. Selek concluded that production of high quality products and being on time with deliveries to customers is key to be successful in this business, and both of those are completely depending on production processes. Students had an opportunity to ask questions and learn from both, the Director and employees who were engaged in production process at the moment of visit.
In the end, during the short standup meeting, Mr. Selek handed package of products produced by socks factory „Ključ“ to all students of IBU as a gift. Students expressed their gratitude to the socks factory „Ključ“ for the kind welcome and everything they learned through this practical lecture of Production Management.
